How to book

1. Select the boat you wish to hire, noting that where a boat has two capacities shown, the lower capacity is recommended for more space and comfort: the higher capacity accommodates everyone, but the extra two berths are usually made up each night from the dinette seats.

2. Use our online system to check availability and make a reservation.

3. We will confirm the boat of your choice is available and that the booking is being held provisionally, pending receipt of your completed booking form and deposit (full payment if nine weeks or less until the holiday starts), which we must receive within seven days.

4. Send the complete booking form and payment to us.

5. We will send a written acknowledgement of your booking together with our Hirers Instruction Manual and relevant leaflets on the Oxford Canal/River Thames.

6. For bookings made through an agency e.g. Blakes, Hoseasons, they will usually send you their own confirmation of booking , monies paid etc. please check that these details are correct as we cannot be held responsible for errors made on their part! We will still send you useful information as 5. above once they notify us of your booking.

7. Your balance will be due directly to us not less than 9 weeks before your holiday is due to start.

8. About a week before the holiday, one of our team will phone you to check we have final arrangements in place - please ensure you know how you wish the beds to be made up e.g. singles/doubles, and your estimated time of arrival to take over the boat which should not be earlier than 13.30 or later than 16.30.

Initial payment

Please read the Booking Conditions carefully before making your booking, especially in respect of cancellation by yourself. Note that cancellation refunds are only given in the event of a genuine medical emergency/condition directly affecting the majority of the party or immediate relatives. Medical proof may be required.

An initial payment of 20% of the full price of the holiday is required with your booking.

For all male or all female groups a £50pp CASH Security/Damage/Cleaning Deposit (see Booking Conditions 13, 14)

Full Cancellation Insurance is included with all bookings.
