OUR PARTY BOAT FOR UP TO 12PP
PERFECT FOR YOUR STAG / HEN PARTY OR LARGE GROUP
1 DOUBLE AND 9 SINGLES, OR 2 DOUBLES AND 8 SINGLES, OR 10 SINGLES.
All fixed berths except rear double/dinette - the plans provided are a guide to the possible arrangement of beds.
This is our largest capacity boat – almost as flexible and very similar to our 69ft super-flexi boats with a capacity of 12 for a larger family, party cruise, or group of friends. There are up to 10 permanent berths without needing to make up the dinette as a bed each night - but for parties of 12pp the dinette makes up as a double or two singles, head to toe. As with all the Oxfordshire Narrowboats fleet these boats were designed and built by us at Heyford Wharf based on years of boating and boat hiring experience. We were the first company to standardise our fleet with ‘reverse layout’ narrowboats which mean that the living areas (dinette/lounge) are at the rear of the boat allowing a more sociable cruising experience with the steerer and crew not being at opposite ends of the boat! All of our boats feature super-silenced, economical, modern marine diesel engines with plenty of power for river work on the Thames, Kennet, and Avon. They are widely regarded as some of the easiest handling holiday hire narrowboats around...and don’t forget that Oxfordshire Narrowboats offer the most friendly, comprehensive boat handling training afloat!
Larger Families, Stag / Hen Parties, Reunions, Large Groups are very welcome on this boat which can accommodate up to 12pp in a variety of singles and doubles combinations – and with a large dinette area so that the group can sit together and socialise at the rear of the boat without leaving the skipper feeling unloved! This is the perfect boat for your Stag or Hen weekend afloat......

Please note: These boats are priced based on number of persons booked: please ensure you are booking and paying for the correct party size. We regret we cannot offer refunds for a subsequently reduced party size once you have booked.
A level cruiser stern deck (which means that there is lots of space to socialise with family and friends...and the skipper!) makes for easy boarding. Through the handcrafted glazed hardwood rear cabin doors there are three steps down to the cabin which is all on one level and has 6ft 6” headroom at the centre, fully carpeted except in galley and bathroom areas which feature safety non-slip lino.
Stepping inside, the lounge dinette features a long fixed l-shaped dinette seat which can seat up to 8pp and can be changed at night into a single or double bed if required. Seperate folding chairs allow for those who wish to sit opposite side of the removable table (this offers a spacious area between mealtimes if you prefer) and the folding chairs can be taken outdoors on the stern deck if you want to join the skipper whilst cruising. The DVD TV is located here, as are the 240V sockets.
Walking on into the galley which features a standard domestic 4-ring gas cooker and under-counter electric fridge – fully equipped with all kitchenware and crockery, cutlery & glassware for up to 12pp. We also include dishwashing kit and a complementary starter kit of rubbish bags, soaps and toilet rolls – we feature Ecover cleaning products to do all we can to care for the environment.
Note that our dinette seats feature extensive under-seat lockers which, because they are effectively below the waterline provide excellent cool storage for fruit and veg, wine, beer without the need to clutter the fridge up!
Moving forward, the first bathroom (toilet, washbasin, shower) is to one side of a short corridor before you reach the first bedroom (up to four bunk beds). Separating this and the second bedroom (fixed double bed) are a pair of wardrobes with doors that also act as a privacy screen at night. Beyond these the second bathroom ( toilet, washbasin, shower) is to one side of a short corridor before you reach the bow cabin/ third bedroom (up to four bunk beds). This opens out through glazed hardwood doors into a seated bow cockpit offering space for up to 6 to sit right at the front of the boat.
Storage consists of a wardrobe (hangers provided) in each main cabin, low-level under-dinette lockers, and two heated cupboards on the rearmost cabin wall - ideal for coats, drying items, boots etc.
Central Heating is provided by a diesel heater powering three radiators...and the cabin is also spray-foam insulated throughout.
Hot Water is by simply provided means of the main boat engine running each day – but the diesel heating also can top this up as required.
Drinking Water enough tanked drinking water for at least a full day’s cruising even if all 12 have a daily shower – and our unique high-pressure water pumps ensure that both showers and the galley can all get water at the same time. (We’ll show you how and where to refill the water tank when we show you round on arrival).
Lighting We were the first hirefleet to standardise on low-power eco-friendly LED lighting throughout – soft LEDs for the bedroom areas, brighter LEDs for the galley and bathrooms
240V Electricity is powered from an inverter which itself uses battery power: the maximum load is up to 800W so is suitable for appliance charging and lower powered hair straighteners/ dryers etc. The inverter cannot be left on overnight and for this reason we do not recommend reliance on 240V for health-critical medical machines e.g. breathing/ sleep apnoea etc etc. Note that the 240V sockets are at the rear of the lounge only.
