Newly renovated in 2020, and with a large new outdoor dining area added in Spring 2021 featuring teak tables with individual dining chairs under large parasols in our leafy garden, we boast fantastic menus to tempt you to visit! If you'd prefer to simply call in for a drink we also retain a large number of traditional picnic benches, again each with an umbrella - our spacious garden can accommodate up to 170 customers!
We are renowned for our selection of artisan real ales and ciders - many sourced as locally as we can manage. We have an eclectic wine list and offer full table service for all diners.
We offer every style of seating:- a cosy candlelit table for two, our lovely intimate 6/8-seat Snug with its historic pub settle, airy family tables to private dining in your own room for parties of up to 20, or more across multiple rooms. From a table of two right through to our enormous 20-seat table for a larger group, we aim to cater for parties of all different shapes and sizes.
Dogs, muddy boots, children and cyclists are made very welcome - come and enjoy a proper country pub with roaring fires in the colder weather - our doors are open to all....
